I'm a Southern California native with a passion for creation, instilled at an early age with a love of reading and some skills with tools. I graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a BA in English and a zeal for making live theater.

I have acted, directed, written (award-winning, published) plays, built sets, and helped run a theater company for several years. Then I upgraded to a more rewarding and challenging career as a high school English teacher, but as much as I enjoyed teaching, it took too much of a toll on me.

The COVID-19 pandemic prompted another career pivot, and with help from CareerFoundry and UX Content Collective, I started writing code and content for the web. I love the mix of language and building that is content design, and look forward to exploring more avenues to put my skills to work.
